Michael Joseph Jackson better known as the ‘King of Pop’ was not just a singer he was a civilization in himself. Controversies or no controversies Michale Jackson’s influence over world music cannot be questioned. He took music to the remote corners of the world and became a poster boy of western music in countries like India and China. Michael Jackson might have succumbed to a heart attack at the age of 50 but his legacy will continue to live for ages. The world will still remain the same, just that one of the greatest musicians of all times won’t be here anymore.

“Classical Music” is a term used to refer to a wide range of music that is produced in or rooted in the traditions of Western art, ecclesiastical and concert music. It has been spanning the ages from the 9th century to the present time. Classical music is still played by many of today’s artist and reaches a select group of individuals. The term “classical music” was coined during the 19th Century as it was considered as the “Golden Age” of Classical Music.

Public adoration for classical music has dropped since the 1900s, most particularly in more developed countries like the United States and the United Kingdom. Classical music has taken a back seat behind popular forms of music like: jazz, pop, rock, rap, and many more. Despite the drop in popularity, parents can be seen sending their children to learn Classic Music at a young age in order to incorporate a sense of discipline that is supposedly learned when playing classical music.

Rock Music:

This music genre originated in the rock and roll era of 1950s. The vocals are accompanied by guitar, drum and bass. (Read information on musical instruments.) Certain rock groups also use piano, synthesizer, saxophone, flute, mandolin and sitar for a deeper effect.

Metal Music: Metal music emerged after the Second World War. Here the tune of the song is greatly influenced by the structure of the songs. While in rock music, songwriting is based within a form; in metal music, the central melody decides the structure of the song. It is also known as ‘information music’.

Hip-hop Music: Hip-hop music always includes the use of instruments such as guitar, violin, fiddle, piano, bass and drums. In these types of music, the bass is the main instrument. This can be used in special intensities to emote feelings of anger, arrogance and others. This type of music is the result of hip-hop society and is known as hip-hop music. Techno Music: Techno music is also known as fusion music. This becomes trendy towards the center part of the 1980s. This is a form of electronic dance music and based on African American music styles like funk, electro and electric jazz. It features fast beats and this form was initiated by Juan Atkins, Kevin Saunderson and Derrick May.

Opera Music: Opera music first emerged in Italy in the 1600s. This genre has an amazing combination of dramatic art and musical innovation and is specifically played in the theaters. This has greater appeal for its delightful orchestral accompaniment. The preludes and interludes of this music set the tone for the action on-stage.

That stardom came courtesy of a fateful meeting with Evan Rogers. The New Yorker was vacationing in Barbados with his wife, a native of the island, when he was introduced to Rihanna. Rogers had spent years producing pop hits for such superstar as NSYNC, Christina Aguilera, Jessica Simpson, Kelly Clarkson, Laura Pausini, and Rod Stewart, and he offered the talented Rihanna a opportunity to record. Along with Rogers’ production partner, Carl Sturken (the other half of Syndicated Rhythm Productions), Rihanna recorded quite a lot of demos that sparked the interest of the Carter Administration — that is, the newly appointed Def Jam president Shawn “Jay-Z” Carter. Rihanna’s third album, Good Girl Gone Bad (2007), continued her success while signaling a change of course.
